In short: this website has no cookies, no advertising, no accounts and no forms. We count visits anonymously, without cookies, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not collect personal data from children or grown-ups. YouTube is only contacted if you press play on a video.
Who we are
This website (puddlebygreen.co.uk) is run by Puddleby Green, which is the data controller for this website under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we don't do
- We don't set cookies and don't use local storage for tracking.
- We don't use advertising, social media pixels, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.
- We don't have sign-ups, comments, competitions or contact forms, so children cannot give us information on this site.
- Colouring pages download directly as PDFs, with no email address needed.
- Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from third-party font or image services.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in short-lived security logs. Cloudflare acts as our service provider (data processor), and our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To understand which songs and colouring pages are useful, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports basic information about each page view, such as the page visited, the referring website, the type of browser and device, the approximate country and page loading speed.
- It doesn't use cookies or local storage, and doesn't fingerprint your browser or track you across websites.
- We only see aggregated statistics, such as the number of visits per page. We can't identify you or your child, and we don't build profiles.
- Cloudflare processes this data as our service provider. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website, and the data isn't used for advertising.
If you'd rather not be counted, browser privacy tools and content blockers that block cloudflareinsights.com will stop the script, and the website will still work normally.
YouTube videos
Song pages show a picture of the video instead of loading YouTube straight away. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you press play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy then applies to that video. Our videos are set as "Made for Kids" on YouTube, which turns off personalised advertising and comments.
Links to other websites
We link to a few other websites, such as YouTube and UK government guidance. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Children
This website is written for parents, carers and teachers. We follow the spirit of the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code: privacy by default, no profiling, no nudges and no data collection.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights over your personal data, including the right of access and the right to complain. Because we don't collect personal data, there is usually nothing for us to give you. Changes
If we ever add something that changes this notice (for example, a new service that uses cookies), we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
